just signed up for Laser eye surgery

for longer than ive been on Deviant Art the vision in my right eye has become more blurred and less focused, my left eye compensated and using glasses, means it hasnt really affected me or my work (much), but its always been on my mind, my eyes do seem to get strained, i work on a PC during the day and stare into a cintiq at night, so its not surprising.
Ive been thinking of surgery for a long time, everyone ive asked thats had it done has always recommended it, so after a consultation, ive signed up for surgery (in about a month), im only getting my right eye done so any risk is at least halfed?
So im hoping it all goes well and that itll help my work too, fingers crossed
